2015 Thanksgiving Card

So... I'm a very, VERY irregular blogger! However, just finished up a Thanksgiving card for the grandkids & wanted to share. Shamelessly copied from an old Ranger blog post - paper from old stash, Distress markers in various colors, Tim Holtz Thankful embossing folder & Autumn Gathering die.

2013 Halloween Cards

I'm addicted to Club Scrap and Tim Holtz... and several years ago decided to stop fighting it!

Not long ago Archivers had a special Halloween card set which included mini-versions of some of Tim's Halloween stamps, so, of course, I had to have it!  These are variations, since I wanted larger cards for the grand-kids.

Club Scrap 2013 October Retreat ATC

Each year there is an icebreaker swap at the Club Scrap Retreat... this year it was ATCs. Since it's become a bit of a tradition for me to have a butterfly on my swap item, I chose one of my Monarch photos to feature.
A digi-stamp from Club Scrap's Comfort Zone Digital kit was used to frame the butterfly (the area behind the leaves was from a different photo), printed on some old Avery Metallic Print cards I had and hand-cut. The matte behind the photo was done using a baby wipe technique from Club Scrap Creates. The completed art was then mounted on cardstock.

PSL - Fiber Challenge

Last week's PSL challenge was fiber - ribbon, thread, fabric, twine, string, etc.!
In this layout, instead of using the more standard ribbon, I pulled some old lace from my fabric stash and used it.

Club Scrap Adobe paper

... and a digital version of a paper layout from the week before - with ribbon added, of course.

By the way - check out Michael Strong's 'Fun in the Sun' blog hop for some great techniques and ideas. He's also todays Guest Blogger on Club Scrap Creates.

PSL Summer Camp

It's time for Summer Camp in Club Scrap's Pro Scrapbooking League!  Weekly challenges make me stretch my wings (and actually get some stuff done).

This week's challenge is Art Medium: " Step away from the 'normal' use of stamps and stencils with inks and use something completely different to add that artwork to your creations. Or add interest and dimension to tags, die cuts, or cutaparts by coloring, spraying, or flocking."
'Good Hope' grungeboard letters were painted and coated with Glossy Accents. On the right side silver brads were embossed with PK Glitz Antique Copper. Both sides have green waxed linen thread on either side of the 12" strips. The paper is from Club Scrap's Outdoors FFC Remix.

Here's a digital layout from the Week 1 Stamp challenge:
The Papillon UM Flitter-Flutter stamp was converted to a brush, 'stamped' in white, then the butterfly only 'stamped' again in black. All digital elements are from Club Scrap's Papillon collections, the title font used is Papyrus. All creatures were/are in my backyard!

Taking part in Summer Camp is free. The only requirement is that layouts & cards submitted must include at least 50% Club Scrap product.
Check it out here: Club Scrap PSL.

A little bit about me...

I was moving some of my layouts from the last Club Scrap PSL (Pro Scrapbooking League) competition, and thought I'd share these older layouts:
I love genealogy, reading, scrapbooking, needlework, beading, dragons... hmm... basically COLLECTING! (Club Scrap Collections kit - June 2006)
As the family genealogist, I've also become the repository for most of the old family photos. As a result, I've also had to learn something about photo restoration! The paper is from the Club Scrap Generations kit (April 2008)

Please excuse the lack of posts... we took the kids & grandkids on a weeklong Caribbean cruise and then visited Universal Studios (Harry Potter!) and WDW Magic Kingdom on the way home.
